This immersive, one-day Story Studio gives children aged 8–11 the freedom to create their own original adventure stories, inventing unique characters, building imaginative worlds, and deciding where their story will take them, from magical kingdoms to distant planets and mysterious islands...anything goes!

During this immersive one-day workshop, children will:
✨ Create original characters full of personality and purpose
🌍 Build imaginative worlds for their stories to take place in
📖 Learn how to structure an exciting adventure narrative
✍️ Develop their ideas into a complete written story
🎨 Bring their storytelling to life through writing and illustration
Alongside creative writing, children will also take part in:
🌳 Outdoor games and activities
🤝 Fun, social group challenges
💡 Creative breaks designed to spark new ideas
This balance of movement, imagination and writing helps children stay inspired, confident and engaged throughout the day.
The workshop is led by me, Bex – a former Head of English with over 20 years of teaching experience – alongside my amazing assistant, ensuring every child receives plenty of encouragement and individual support.
