The Legendary Golden Easter Egg — Twyford & Hurst’s golden egg — has vanished the night before the Spring Festival… and only our young Detective Writers can solve the case.

📅 Thursday 9th April
10:00am – 3:00pm
📍 Hurst Village Hall, Wokingham

This immersive, one-day Story Studio gives children aged 8–11 the freedom to create their own detective stories — inventing original characters, designing clues, and deciding who stole the golden egg.

Throughout the workshop, they will learn the essential ingredients that make powerful detective fiction:

🔎 How to build suspense and mystery
🧩 How to create believable clues that lead to a solution
🗂️ How to develop interesting suspects and strong characters
📖 How to structure a story with a clear beginning, middle and dramatic reveal
🎭 How to write convincing investigation and interrogation scenes

They won’t just solve a mystery — they’ll learn how professional detective stories are crafted… and then write their own from scratch.

✨ Run by an English teacher with over 20 years of experience — alongside my amazing assistant — this workshop is carefully guided, structured, and designed to nurture confident young writers.

🚨 Plus — the experience goes beyond writing!

Children will take part in:
🌳 Outdoor detective games
🥚 An Easter egg hunt built around following clues
🕵️‍♂️ Interactive challenges that bring their mystery to life

We’re proud to share that Story Studio is now a regular holiday fixture — and this marks our FOURTH themed event 🎉
